In today's Doctors Changing Medicine podcast episode, Dr. Una interviews Dr. Karen J. Nichols, an American osteopathic physician, former medical school dean at Midwestern University, and current chair of the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Nichols practiced internal medicine and geriatrics in Mesa, Arizona, and later served as dean at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

She became the first female president of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Internists, and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.
